A little too long.....

Hi ~~friends~~. It has been so long since I blogged that I almost forgot how! (almost hehe)

My hubby and I are doing great! When you have what we have you can't let it go! You just keep going and things just fall when they are meant to fall. <3 Marriage is work but is sooo worth it and the rewards are endless! We know many are not rooting for us, but ya know that is okay! We don't have to prove anything to anyone. What we got is magical! Thats it!

I am working for a Dentist in Lehi, Utah. They hired me on not knowing a thing about dentistry. Now I am a full on dental assistant. Been there 3 months now and just got my first raise! My boss tells me I'm a natural! It's great having a job that you love and that you are good at!

Working on my love of photography is my passion and with the weather getting better I will be booking more appointments! Just cannot wait to dust my things off and put them to good use again.

The next step we have in mind is getting a new place to live. Been on the hunt for our new HOME SWEET HOME! Him and I are going crazy living apart. We sure do miss feeling like we have a home and feel settled. Can't wait till we can feel whole again!

Learning to love myself.

My world flipped upside down in a matter of days. Separated from my husband, jobless, homeless, car less, but not hopeless..... Despite all I feel HAPPY and THANKFUL for it. I am just "ROLLING WITH THE PUNCHES" or so you could say. By no means is this a cake walk, probably one of the hardest/painful times in my life. All I know is it feels right at the same time. I feel independant and stronger than ever. I cannot change it so I might as well embrace it right? God is holding my hand and guiding my heart. I am going where I am meant to be. I have so many blessings that I feel special enough to recieve. I have goals and aspirations I am determined to reach! I am important and I love myself for who I am reguardless of my imperfections. I know the intentions in my heart are pure. Whatever comes of this road I am on will be so worth it! I am thanking God for answering my prayers and thanking God for unanswered prayers! I know who my true family and friends are for being there for me and supporting me! I love you all for that and being there when I have needed you most!

The power of prayer is priceless..... I just want you all to know without it I wouldn't be here <3

May God bless us both, and maybe one day reunite us with refreshed spirts. Ready to give it another try...

So I finally "caved" and had the small gap between my front teeth fixed. A lot of people didnt even notice it but, I sure did. Some people would say it adds "character", well personally I didnt think so! I had a complex ever since I was little and the kids find anything to make fun of you about. So I am happy to say I am happy I made the choice to fix it!

Okay so I have a hobbie that I love very much. I love to find treasures that may look very deceiving (looks like junk) and find some beauty in it and turn it into something pretty again. So this was my latest project that I finished and thought I would post some pictures of my work of art! It is an old door that was icky looking that I made into a headboard for my plain old bed. I hope you like it as much as I do! Sorry the pics are small and blurry. (taken with my cell phone) Also the vinyl lettering that I made with my cricut says "Always kiss me goodnight..." in case you couldn't read it and you were wondering.

So we had a crazy weekend full of Halloween!!

Friday night 30th we went to a friend of ours Cameron's Halloween Party & had a blast. We ended up being Hugh Hefner & a bunny. They were Kmarts leftovers! We procrastinated so we ended up with that but, Dev was happy with it! Robe & slippers, doesnt get more comfy than that for Halloween! Cameron went all out with the decorations & felt like we were in a haunted house! They made homemade rootbeer with cannot forget the dry ice, & fingers.... these fingers were so creepy but, neat made out of peanut butter, & pretzels... Good times!

Saturday we went to our Niece Brinklee's baptism. What a cool day to get baptized on, something you will never forget. I got so emotional, as usual! The baptism was probably the nicest & biggest crowd at a baptism I have ever seen! Brinklee is such a sweet girl. So glad I have her as my niece! After that we went home got packed & got on the road. We had time to get some trick - or - treating in with my family and went to yet another Halloween Party!! We were having so much fun until we recieved some bad news. My Grammy had a heart attack and a blood clot in her heart & went into surgery! We were so scared that this was "it" that we were prepared to get in the truck & drive to Idaho that night. The family told us to hold off & wait to see how surgery went. They were really afraid something bad would happen as Grammy is in a weak condition with her Diabetes & Cancer. Grammy pulled out of surgery like a champ & are now just keeping a real close eye on her kidneys. We are so thankful she is hanging in there & cannot wait to see her in 2 weeks when we travel up North for my brother's wedding & some baby blessings! Grammy is in our prayers.

Sunday we were pretty lazy and celebrated my sister inlaw's Mom's birthday. Then we made a trip up to the University of Utah Hospital to visit our brother in law who had brain surgery on the 30th to see if they can fix his Epilepsy. Again I have such strong family members. Chris is doing amazing & so thankful for that! Now we are playing the waiting game for a seizure, than they can finish up and hopefully Chris makes a full recovery with a seizure free life! Also just like to throw out there, Best wishes to Jackie, your such a good wife! You are in our prayers!

Here is a recipe for Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies that are to die for!! Easiest recipe ever!!! My cousin shared this with me & said they are only 1 point on weight watchers, so not too unhealthy for ya either!

1 Box spice cake mix
15 oz can of pumpkin
3/4 C Choc Chips (or a whole bag or 2) as I would do. Ü

350 degrees for 17 min.

Happy 2 yr Anniversary Devan, the LOVE of my LIFE!! 2 yrs Married, 3 yrs Together, & 7 yrs as the best of friends..

Okay I am actually a week late on this post beacuse I was waiting on our photos we got taken for our Special Day... Ü We celebrated with two dinners & a movie. One on our "Legal Anniversary" & One on our "Wedding Anniversary" So we celebrated all week long! For the first dinner we went to Club XS in Vernal & both had Bacon Wrapped Fila Minion meals which were so delish!! We enjoyed each others company out on the patio chatting & having fun then we saw some kittens that we TRIED to catch... was not successful! All we wanted to do was pet them! LOL We ended the nice evening with a dance on the dance floor (they play country music in the back round for the evening). At night it's a hoppin' dance club! Second dinner was at Cafe Rio yeah! My fav place that we just got in Vernal... Not as romantic, but soooo yummy to die for. (Notice we didnt go to our dinners in Roosevelt... We are just Roosevelted out!!) We then went to see a movie "Surrogates" it was an good movie in all...but a bit weird for my taste with all the robots. Ps.. instead of me falling asleep it was Dev's turn... he said the theatre was so cold that he had to cuddle up to me to stay warm & he couldn't help but fall asleep on my shoulder.... awwww cute.. It was so cold I couldnt even begin to fall asleep if I wanted to! We had key lime pie for dessert! yum! My wonderful hubby had flowers sent to my work & I got him a pair of black casual scetchers shoes. He needed them! LOL What a nice week to celebrate our love! I look back and am amazed at how things have evolved and we have grown to love each other more than we thought we could. We have been through many challenges and come out on top and I look forward to many more years of fun & sun with my soul mate. I love you Devan Michael!

We have had yet another family member pass away.... Topper got hit by a car early morning on Friday the 26th he had dug out of the yard to go exploring & it was his last hoo rah... Wish he could have stayed a little longer.. So sad to see him go. He was a special spirit in our home. I swear we treat our animals like family & not sure why we keep loosing them one way or another but, we sure miss our family members!

Sorry, I didnt get this posted yesterday... I was in project mode! Detailing the interior of our truck was sooo fun, I spaced that I wanted to post something special for my sweetheart on his day! My love is now 26!! Wow he made it over that hump!

This was his BIRTHDAY last year when we were in VEGAS...... takin' a nap!

Swine Influenza and You

What is swine flu?Swine Influenza (swine flu) is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A influenza viruses that causes regular outbreaks in pigs. People do not normally get swine flu, but human infections can and do happen. Swine flu viruses have been reported to spread from person-to-person, but in the past, this transmission was limited and not sustained beyond three people.
Are there human infections with swine flu in the U.S.?In late March and early April 2009, cases of human infection with swine influenza A (H1N1) viruses were first reported in Southern California and near San Antonio, Texas. Other U.S. states have reported cases of swine flu infection in humans and cases have been reported internationally as well. An updated case count of confirmed swine flu infections in the United States is kept at http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/investigation.htmCDC and local and state health agencies are working together to investigate this situation.
Is this swine flu virus contagious? CDC has determined that this swine influenza A (H1N1) virus is contagious and is spreading from human to human. However, at this time, it not known how easily the virus spreads between people.
What are the signs and symptoms of swine flu in people? The symptoms of swine flu in people are similar to the symptoms of regular human flu and include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. Some people have reported diarrhea and vomiting associated with swine flu. In the past, severe illness (pneumonia and respiratory failure) and deaths have been reported with swine flu infection in people. Like seasonal flu, swine flu may cause a worsening of underlying chronic medical conditions.
How does swine flu spread? Spread of this swine influenza A (H1N1) virus is thought to be happening in the same way that seasonal flu spreads. Flu viruses are spread mainly from person to person through coughing or sneezing of people with influenza. Sometimes people may become infected by touching something with flu viruses on it and then touching their mouth or nose.
How can someone with the flu infect someone else?Infected people may be able to infect others beginning 1 day before symptoms develop and up to 7 or more days after becoming sick. That means that you may be able to pass on the flu to someone else before you know you are sick, as well as while you are sick.
What should I do to keep from getting the flu? First and most important: wash your hands. Try to stay in good general health. Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food. Try not touch surfaces that may be contaminated with the flu virus. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Are there medicines to treat swine flu?Yes. CDC recommends the use of oseltamivir or zanamivir for the treatment and/or prevention of infection with these swine influenza viruses. Antiviral drugs are prescription medicines (pills, liquid or an inhaler) that fight against the flu by keeping flu viruses from reproducing in your body. If you get sick, antiviral drugs can make your illness milder and make you feel better faster. They may also prevent serious flu complications. For treatment, antiviral drugs work best if started soon after getting sick (within 2 days of symptoms).
How long can an infected person spread swine flu to others?People with swine influenza virus infection should be considered potentially contagious as long as they are symptomatic and possible for up to 7 days following illness onset. Children, especially younger children, might potentially be contagious for longer periods.
What surfaces are most likely to be sources of contamination?Germs can be spread when a person touches something that is contaminated with germs and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth. Droplets from a cough or sneeze of an infected person move through the air. Germs can be spread when a person touches respiratory droplets from another person on a surface like a desk and then touches their own eyes, mouth or nose before washing their hands.
How long can viruses live outside the body?We know that some viruses and bacteria can live 2 hours or longer on surfaces like cafeteria tables, doorknobs, and desks. Frequent handwashing will help you reduce the chance of getting contamination from these common surfaces.
What can I do to protect myself from getting sick?There is no vaccine available right now to protect against swine flu. There are everyday actions that can help prevent the spread of germs that cause respiratory illnesses like influenza. Take these everyday steps to protect your health:
Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.
Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
If you get sick with influenza, CDC recommends that you stay home from work or school and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.

I was thinking of 1 day out of the week having a Mtn. Dew cuz I think I love it so much I don't know if I can give it up completely?? Maybe when I get used to not having it as much I won't crave it so much..

Thanks to stress our immune systems appear to be down.....

So we've been sick! Hasn't everyone? Geez this year has been bad for disease! lol. I have had a flu, and now 3 colds! I am not one to usually catch things often either so I am not so used to it & deffinitely dont love it at all! I am just a big baby! Well, so I finally got some antibiotics that took about 4 days to kick in. Thankfully, & I am hoping to stay from the sick bug for a lonnnng time now!

Devan on the other hand has had 2 colds & a 24 hr flu. Then last week he woke up with the worst pain ever imagined in his leg? He thought maybe he had done something to it at work and was just feeling after effects? It was swollen pretty badly from the knee down. Well, I called his Mom for advice and she told me to rush him to the Er. just in case. So I did and they thought it was either a blood clot which we found out was a no or Mrca Staff Infection which was a yes! Scary! It is a very serious thing and can result in death if the infection spreads to your heart. I thank my lucky stars that we took him in when we did because by the time a doc checked him out there was a red dot appearing on his leg! We were so close to getting an abscess! If you get one it makes it so much easier for the infection to spread. Which staff is highy contagious anyhow and mrca is a super charged staff infection! Luckily we got the antibiotics in him soon enough that it never got a chance to break open! Apparently, there have been a lot of cases in the area recently. The doc put him on bed rest for a week and sent him home. He started feeling better by the next day but, then by the weekend his eyes were going blurry on him! He called the doc to see if it was normal to have that happen and she said no that she was worried it could be getting to his brain, Although if so usually there would be red marks going from the infection upwards but, there was no sign of that! She told him to just take it easy, that the antibiotics were very strong ones & they could be making his vision blur. She warned us if he got any worse to deffinitelty rush him in though. Anyhow, other than that he has massive itching which they said is good that means his body is fighting the infection well. It is now a week later and he can still feel pain in his leg. He has an appointment today for a checkup on it so I hope all goes well! Please pray for him!

OUR ANGEL Has passed on unexpectedly. We know you are in a better place but, it is still so hard to comprehend life's unpleasant surprises. She is now the 4th animal we have had in the past 6 months pass away. I hope this is the last. Our pets mean the world to us and we need them. They bring so much happiness to our lives. I know I shouldn't blame my self but, this cannot be normal I feel like we are being punished, I don't know what we have done wrong.. Baby had such a tender, gentle spirit and brought our family much joy. She transformed from a skiddish, malnourished, shy stray dog. To a bouncy, fun loving, lick you to pieces, eat everyone's food, greet you at the door, snuggling big baby. We spent her last night snuggling on the couch watching home makeover shows. Although she is not allowed on the couch we bent the rules while Dad was working. =) I love her dearly and she will be missed by her Brother Topper Fenn, and her bouncy baby boy Harley Fenn. We are so blessed to have shared the past 6 months with her as she found her way into our hearts, family, & home.

WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU AND KEEP YOU IN OUR HEARTS!!!

1. Where did you meet? At a dance club. I know... you are all laughing! One of the best days of my life though.

2. How long did you date before you got married? 1 yr 4 months. Known eachother & casual dated/friends for 5 1/2 yrs before.

3. How long have you been married? 1 yr and 2 months!

4. What does he do to surprise you? It's the little things mostly. When I will come home from work and the house will be freshly cleaned and dinner will be on the stove. Or just sweet little letters and text messages he writes me.

5. What is your favorite feature of his? His huge heart & tender soul, but I love his eyes & smile and just about everything really. lol.

6.What is your favorite quality?He is always trying to be the perfect husband (bettering himself daily) and I love how he always shows me he loves me and not just says it. He amazes me with his smarts, he has a bright idea about once a day and I think it's cute. It drives me crazy but, I love it at the same time. I have just begun to think to myself I will believe it when I see it... hehe.

7. Does he have a nickname for you? Goof Troop, Looney tune, sugar lips, sugar everything, babe, hun, ect....

8. What is his favorite food? He loves when I make sloppy joes... I know nothing special but he begs for them the most! He is a simple guy. Going out he loves to hit up a Chinese joint though..

9. What is his favorite sport? He doesn't watch sports on Tv much (Just like super bowl, ect..) I know I was blessed huh!! He loves to be outdoors and enjoys 4 wheeling, fishing, camping though.

11. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? Prob just have lazy Sundays on the couch & watch movies and vegg out... or we like to go on drives with no destination.

13. Does he have any hidden talents? Yes, somehow he always gets his way..... (I liked this Tara and plays too True for Devan as well....) Although he would be the first to disagree haha.

15. Who said I love you first? He confessed his love for me when I still had a boyfriend on a phone conversation, I held back but, I knew I loved him too. Needless to say I broke up with that boyfriend the next day. Shortly after on a visit to Roosevelt I told him the same. We knew we loved each other long time before. A week after we met he told me he had been praying to meet the girl he would spend the rest of his life with and he told me he believed it was me. I was blown away because I barely knew him but, turned out to be true. Fate. =)

16. What is his favorite music? He likes a bit of everything rock, country, hip hop, ect...

17. What do you admire most about him? He always makes everything seem ok. I come to him down and out some days and I always leave the convo with a smile. He always has a way of uplifting me. He is always striving to make the best life for us and always keeps our goals close in his mind. He is the biggest teddy bear you will ever meet but, his coolness, tough guy appearance throws many off.

19. Which side of the bed does he sleep on? He is a left bed sleeper kind of guy and I am a right bed sleeper so it works out... lol sometimes we wake up switched though. weird.

RIP Jersey Girl 10/29/08

Our little "mama" passed away on 10/29/08. She has been my kitty for 8 yrs now. She was a real gift to have in my life. I love her so much she was the most cuddly little thing, she got me through a lot of bad days. I have been procrastinating posting something because I wanted to put up a lot more pics from the time she was a kitten on. I figured I better get it done now while it's fresh in my mind and give her a goodbye. This was taken about 1 month ago. She started losing weight rapidly(about 4 days) and the morning before she passed I woke up suddenly and had a gut feeling to find her and make sure she was ok. Well, hiding under my bed there she was shaking and weak. I gave her some milk and food she was so wobbly I knew something was wrong I got ready for work as Devan cuddled her. He said I will watch her and if you feel she needs to go to the vet we will take her. Well, that morning my house flooded and Devan had to spend all day taking care of that when I got home from work I immediately put her in her kennel and took her to my Mom's to get her opinion. She said lets call a vet and see what they think? The vet asked if the white was still in her eyes and if her gums were still pink, all checked out. He said she should be fine through the night just bring her in first thing in the morning. Well, I decided to leave her at my Mom's since the Vet is close to my Mom's work. I didn't leave until about 11:30pm. I wanted Jersey to be ok. I got a call from my Mom at about 2:00am that Jersey had passed. My mom said she had a seizure and had went stiff. They tried all they could cpr to help her and she was already gone. The vet says she most likely had kidney failure or a massive stroke. Animals at her age really start showing signs of old age. One week I am giving her a bath (She hates baths) and the next minute she is keeping me sain from being home alone scared. I cannot believe my little Mama is gone. She got her nickname from me. When we first got her as a kitten we got our other kitty Rocky at the same time. Well, Rocky was taken from his mama too soon & thought Jersey was his mama. He nursed off of Jersey till they were 6 months old!! It was the cutest thing you've ever seen one kitty nursing the other... I know she is in kitty heaven now and is peaceful as she can be! Will always love you and remeber you our little Jersey girl.

Work has been crazy so it took me awhile to get to this:

Don't know if they are quirks or flaws?? Haha

1- I absolutely hate my feet being touched (without socks). I am okay for a foot rub with socks on but off is like nails on a chalkboard to me. At the same time I hate walking on carpet with socks on. I have to have either bare feet or shoes. I like to wash my feet before I go to bed. This foot crisis makes it hard to get pedi's so I do them myself cuz noone could understand.

2- I am a packrat. I hate this about myself too and am always trying to break myself of it. I go about every 3 months or so and give away bags of clothes, shoes, misc. It might take me a couple times to get rid of things to give something away I have not worn in 2 yrs. I always think I still like it and I will wear it but, I have clothes galore and forget I even have it. Same goes with anything. Oh this food processor I will use it then when I think about using it I think oh what a pain to get that clunker out so I never do. I also like to save birthday cards Valentine cards, ect. I think Oh these would be good to scrapbook but, I never get around to doing it. hahaaaa Lord have mercy. Let me get over these things I hate clutter but, I somehow always manage to create it!!

3- I am the biggest softy (baby)! I cry over the simplest, dumbest things. I have not a clue why? Last night my nephew accidently broke my nice fancy candle thing I absolutely love that I got as a wedding gift. I broke out in tears when I saw it. We tried to salvage it but, it looks weird now. Even if I see others cry I cry. I think God gave me too many doses of the emotional juice. That's where I get my nick name Waterfall from.

4- I need to be prepared. I overpack, I feel naked without the following : Earrings, purse (with everything but, the kitchen sink), cell phone, keys. I run late often due to this. Usually it's cuz I procraistinated too long to get prepared but, that is another quirk I guess.

5- I am always cold! Even in dead summer I can get cold so easily. I have my heater going now in my office. Whenever we get in the car for a road trip even to Slc I need a lap blanket. It never fails everytime I forget it I need it!

6- I am a slow, but detailed cleaner. If I am going to deep clean house I DEEP CLEAN. I reaarange, I shampoo carpets. I touch up paint, I do it all! I tear everything apart and then put it back together. When I clean house it takes me so long but, every nook and cranny has to be clean.. I am not a "pick up" the house person. This drives my hubby nuts. He is a "Pick up" person. It usually takes me a whole Saturday or Sunday to do my Deep Clean. =)

1 week old and oh how they change everyday!! Their eyes are still closed. All are healthy and doing well! They eat about 22/7 haha. Poor Baby she gives me this worn out look all the time. 11 babies will do that to ya I tell her...

So I came home from work on Thursday night to get the birthday party started for my Momma. We got dinner going and were all in my front yard sitting in some lawn chairs just chatting away. Baby had been acting a bit weird. Trying to dig holes in our goat house and just acting like she needed to poop but, couldn't. I know pretty gross. My brother told me she is in labor ( he has experienced puppy births before) but, I have thought all month she was in labor haha.. She kept buzzing all around the house too. Well, Leon went in to check to see how dinner was coming and heard a little squeak. He peeked in the laundry room and sure enough she was in labor right in the middle of our pile of sleeping bags to be washed! He came to tell me and I was so stinkin excited I ran straight for the room, she had already had 2 pups! I was happy beyond belief that this day was finally here! I tried my best to let her do her thing on her own but, I had to come check on her quite often. I saw a number of the pups come out. It was pretty amazing to watch. I won't go into details but, the miracle of life still amazes me! This all started about 7:00 pm. It was quite a bit of time in between each puppy. It was getting late about 11 or 11:30 pm when I could not hold my eyes open anymore!! When I went to bed there were 7 pups born. I woke up to 11 puppies!! I must have something weird with 11's cuz almost daily I look at the clock and it is 11:11 and Chance passed away on 7/11 and day after they were born I went to the gas station for some treats and my total was 11.11!!! I know I don't know why I think of these things but, I do.. Here are a few pic I took with my cell phone because I still cannot find the cord to my camera... I was a bit sad that none of them came out looking like Baby. They all resemble lab. Chance's genes dominated for sure. =) 7 black labs and 4 Choc Labs. 7 boys and 4 girls.

End of Summer Update.

Wow this summer is already gone?? I cannot believe it!! I have many pics of Campouts, 4 wheeling, fishing, derby, fireworks and.. I cannot find the cord to my camera for the life of me!!! I will get some new pics up asap!

Devan and I are doing great. We are just so depressed about the long winter ahead. Sorry we have been so busy this month and have not gotten a chance to see how all of you are doing!!Baby our dog is still prego.. I guess I was off on the timing. If you count from the 1st day of July today would be day 59 for her. 63 is supposed to be the magic number and I was sure she concieved in the middle-end of June. Anyway.. Believe I will let you know when she has those pups!! =)

My brother Leon and Nephew Brysen are now staying at our place. He has been living in Logan for the past 3 yrs or so. He moved up here to try to find a great job in the Oil Patch. He will be living with us unitl he can find a place to live which right now things are scarce. As many people are moving here for the $$ rental housing is very hard to come by. We love them and enjoy their company!!

Today is my Mom's birthday! 46 whoa... Don't tell her I told you her age Cool? Haha. Happy Birthday Mom!! I love you!! We will be making a cake for her tonight and making her favorite dinner. Chicken Taquitos! We got her a Red Gerbera Daisy Plant and a cool tin bucket to put it in and a tall pottery looking piece but, is tin. Hard to explain but, it very modern and beautiful to go in her brand new house!!! I hope she likes..

I guess that's about it. Gotta get back to my day but, thanks for reading!!

Innocent face...

BABY is her name I picked.. She is the stray hound we have now adopted! She is for sure prego and getting bigger by the day. I have been told by several breeders that dogs are preg for approx. 63 days which would put her at about 45 days or so.. I can't remember the day "IT HAPPENED" wish I would have wrote it down!! I know it was sometime in the middle of June.. So we are thinking the second week of August? We'll have to see!! I had fun doing a modeling shoot with her this weekend! Check her out! She is deffinitely a joy to have around!

NEWFIELD PRODUCTION

So the girls in the office decided we needed to do something fun to get out of the house for summer evenings!! We formed a softball team! We got lots of excercise but, We didn't play so well.. I think it was 3/15 or something that bad!! Haha.. We just played for fun anyway and hoped to win a game or two along the way. There were many teams you could tell have been playing a looooong time! All in all we have some great memories out of it!!

So me lovely car got in an accident with my husband.. (TRUELY) Statement only understood if you know him! Don't get me wrong he is wonderful but, just doesn't have the greatest track record with cars lately!! We still love him!!! =) Thank my lucky stars he walked away with a mild concussion...PHEW!

So my work put together a tournament. There were 6 teams, 4 people on each team. We actually took 2nd place with -1 in a scramble style. Whatever that means. LOL So I thought we did awesome. Well then Mike, my big boss puts all the team #'s in a hat and has me choose two teams out of the hat. Well, I didn't choose team1 which was us but, the two teams which I did pick got $50 gift certificates (each person) to the golf course to be used in the gift shop of whatever!! That's a bummer we thought since we were 2nd place we would get something cool for all our hard work.. Good thing my team picked up my pieces (with it being my very 1st time golfing I didn't help them out too much!) All in all it was a fun day.. Gotta love Friday's at Newfield.. Free Golf, & Lunch not so bad... =)

RIP Daisy & Chance Fenn 7/11/07

DAISY FENN- WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU -CHANCE FENN

The two loved to go exploring, & swimming. Both adopted, I like to think I gave them a life. They had rough lives when I took them in. Loved to get spoiled (brushed and massaged) by Devan. Their last weekend with us was spent that way.. Chance & Daisy were large lap dogs they would do anything to sit on your lap!! Kissing fools too. Watch your face they'll getcha! They also loved to jump up and dance with you.. Chance was very protective and would bark at people until he knew it was safe. Or we told him to shut up! =) With only having 1 eye he had a hard time seeing. Daisy was our fat little Mama she loved Steak night at our house.. The drool would start the minute the grill lit up! During the day we would keep them on a chain because they could both jump our 5ft fence! Normally their chains were far enough apart they could play together but, not get tangled. They had just got new chains and one was aparently too long. So, I came home from work on Friday and they were twisted up beyond measure don't even know how they could get that twisted! Well, Chance was a big jumper & decided to jump the fence while being so tangled it was a bad idea... When he did that he hung them both... =( Left no slack for them to breath. It was the most terrible site I have ever seen. They were like my kids I can't get that image out of my head. It's hard not seeing them everyday now. I pray that they didn't suffer. All I can think of is hope they are just running wild in heaven having a blast. Good news though... At the time I noticed it I wasn't so happy but, Chance was not fixed (BOY) and a stray hound was in heat.. Well I witnessed a little miracle happening! She is now prego and won't go home so I guess we will have little Chance puppies running around here soon... His legend lives on..With death brings new life... Also just maybe I am weird.. I don't generally believe in superstions but, I heard just a couple weeks ago that if an owl crosses your path someone close to you will die. This is something the Indians really believe. Well, 4th of July weekend we were at a rodeo in Tabiona and I happened to be the DD and was driving everyone back to a cabin when an owl swooped down in front of the car!!! I immediately thought of that superstion I heard. I couldn't get it out of my head. Well, Theres more!!!! On Thursday the 10th I had made a trip down to SLC (DEVAN'S Drill weekend with the Army) and Devan's sister Jackie said to us that she had a weird feeling for days about 7/11 that we should be careful. Is it all a coincidence or what? I will never forget 7/11/07..

Deployment

So... Update on what's happening with Deployment!!! We are waiting to to here from the Army this weekend when Devan is leaving to go back to Iraq.. =( He is currently at Drill as I type. They called him 3 days ago and asked for volunteers to go with another company which he declined!! Although he gets out April of 2009 he is thinking of going Active Duty in hopes to make Special Forces. They told him he could have orders wherever he wants.. ( I don't trust that too much) I am supporting him in whatever his little heart desires although it is not easy thinking my hubby will be gone a lot!!! If he re-enlists to go Special Forces Iraq may be on hold... WOOO HOO.. But, I guess we will have to see.. Will get back with the verdict soon!!

Devan and I are "Starting Fresh". We have now been married for 7 months! Wow, I cannot believe how time flies!! Getting on top of things and getting our goals in place is what we are working on. Looking to relocate sometime in the next 6 months, (hopefully) and getting jobs that we both enjoy. I would love to move to Sunny St. George but, Las Vegas is looking more promising. Photography and or Real Estate have always been interesting to me. With the economy as is right now Real Estate may not be the best to jump into but, I would love to eventually go in that direction. Devan is wanting to start a small business. He is very smart and determined to do that. Then on the side he does want to go to school to be a firefighter. He loves things that are rewarding in that way, also he is an adrenalin junkie!! For now we are living in Roosevelt (blah) and I am working at Newfield Exploration as a Production Tech and Devan is working for his Step Dad as a Hot Oiler. =) Thanks for reading!
